Dividing Numbers With Decimals

This process is far easier than it seems. I am going to show you a simple two step process on how this is done.

Now the numbers you have been given to divide is 2 divided by .25

Step 1

It is difficult do do the division looking at the problem the way it is so we need to put this problem into terms that we are more familiar with. To do this we need to move the decimal around a bit. If you move the decimal two places to the right .25 will become 25 and 2 will become 200.

Step 2

Do this division now. So 200 divided by 25 is 8, making your answer to the problem being 8.
